pen & ink art of 1913 american underslung touring phaeton, harry stutz designed the first cars produced in 1906 but he had left the company when f. tone created the underslung model, tone was inspired to build the radical car when he saw one of the vehicle frames being carried upside down through the factory, the design placed the cars axles above rather than below the frame rails, to provide sufficient ride height for the periods rough roads, the underslung was mounted on bigger wheels,
