Description
A 1915 Willys Overland model 80 Tourer parked inside a giant Redwood, the famous Wawona Tunnel Tree, this famous drive-through Redwood grew in the Mariposa Grove of Yosemite National Park, where an opening was cut in 1881, people rode through it for 88 years, first in horse-drawn carraiges and then in cars, it is hardly surprising that the tree eventually toppled under the weight of snow and ice in the winter of 1969 at 2,600 years old, by tree-ring count, it was the second standing sequoia to be tunneled, the first, a dead tree, cut in 1878, still stands in the Tuolumne Grove in Yosemite
