Photographed of the 1951 Bentley MK VI by Jack Pumphrey at the 2009 British Car Days in old Mesilla, N M, the stately 1951 Bentley MK VI entered the luxury car market in 1946 with the MK VI in 1946, this was a development of the MK V which had been launched on the eve of the war and few produced, mechanically the MK VI was all Rolls-Royce with a 6-cylinder 4257cc engine and it shared much with the Rolls-Royce Silver Wraith, although many Bentley MK VI carried coach-built bodies, the most common body was the standard steel saloon, John Blatchley did a little of the rear design for the Bentley MK VI, In 1951 the engine was upgraded to 4566cc, and in 1952 the very similar R-type replaced the MK VI
